In the sixth episode of this series, we speak with Pauli Markkanen, who is the Programme Executive for the Orpheus programme at Rolls-Royce.

After getting a degree in aerospace engineering, Pauli has been knocking around technology and new product development in various guises for longer than he cares to remember. His latest role has given him and his team the chance to rethink the way Rolls-Royce thinks about product development and has delivered some unprecedented results, with the Orpheus family of engines being announced at Farnborough 2022.

The new Orpheus engine has broken boundaries at every stage of development, design, and build, and it is a shining example of how to deliver at pace with an agile mindset.
